Living Well Now

Living Well Now

Do you have ideas and suggestions about how homes and communities could be better designed to suit the needs of older people?

Investigating Environments that Enable People to Live Well and Thrive in their 60s and Beyond

The Living Well Now project aims to provide greater insight into the diverse ways that older people living in South Australia move through their home and community environments in their everyday lives. The project is being conducted by UniSA with the assistance of COTA SA.

Drawing on the lived experiences of older people, the project will generate deep qualitative insights and promote a wider conversation among older South Australians, government and the ageing services sector in South Australia around designing appropriate and supportive environments for older people.

Your participation

We are currently looking to recruit people aged sixty years and over who are currently living in South Australia to participate in interviews about their everyday experiences of mobility inside and outside their homes or places of residence.

Participation would involve taking part in a face-to-face interview at a time and location of their choice, or in a telephone interview.

We are interested in hearing about your daily experiences of travel (such as driving, walking, or taking public transport) and the activities that you perform at home (such as cooking, gardening or using the internet). We would also like to learn about the barriers that you experience to your mobility and any strategies that you have for managing these barriers.
