Australian Energy Regulator Review of on-sold electricity disputes

The Australian Energy Regulator is about to investigate process of dispute resolution for customers who do not have access to the normal ombudsman process.

If you live in an apartment complex, retirement village, residential park or other situation where your electricity is billed to you by the complex owner rather than an electricity retailer, the Australian Energy Regulator is interested in hearing from you. The AER is particularly interested in:

• How often disputes arise between the electricity seller and residents
• How disputes are resolved currently
• Any issues you have experienced resolving disputes
• Your views on using the ombudsman services
