Baby Boomers Discriminated Against In Workforce

It's long been suggested that baby boomers have had a very easy run in life with access to free education and fairly easy entry into the property market.

But everyday Australia becomes a more ageing population, the workforce gets older too. COTA SA - the peak body promoting the rights, needs and interests of older South Australians - is concerned that work and recruitment practices are increasingly discriminating against mature-age workers.

Marnie Round spoke with Jessie Byrne from COTA SA, on the impact age-discrimination might be having on baby boomers and what value there is in having mature-aged people in the workforce.
