Yorke Peninsula Workshop

Workshop to Explore Setup of a York Peninsula COTA SA Advisory Group

When: Tuesday 25 May
Time: 9:30am -12:30pm
Where: Kadina Town Hall

26% of older South Australians live outside metropolitan Adelaide. In 2019 COTA SA undertook a series of listening posts in 20 regional towns across SA including in Kadina, Moonta, Ardrossan, Port Pirie and Minlaton.

Our next step is to set up a COTA SA Advisory Group (made up of older people) in the Yorke Peninsula area; you're invited to explore this with us in this workshop.

This will build on work we are doing through our Country Programs Officer, Helen Morley, COTA SA Moonta staff member, Su Bell and several COTA SA volunteers who are active from the mid-North and across the Yorke Peninsula. It follows the establishment in 2020 of the Goolwa-Victor Advisory Group (GVAG) which provides an avenue for the voices of older South Australians in the Goolwa-Victor area of South Australia to influence the directions of COTA SA and to inform local older people about issues and services that are relevant to them.

If you are interested in taking part, please advise Ross Atkinson ratkinson@cotasa.org.au or phone us on 1800 182 324 and provide us with the names and contact details of those people attending.

We very much look forward meeting you on 25th May.
