Our Silver Rainbow Training & Consulting team (SRT&C) works with those in the aged care sector to assist them to be welcoming to, as well as standards-compliant for, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex (LGBTI) elders. While the training has been paused because of Covid-19 we’re now getting going again and incorporating ways of supporting workers in country locations. As part of this we are running a series of ‘Silver Rainbow Community of Practice Sessions’.

The Community of Practice is open to all workers and others with an interest in ageing and aged care for LGBTI elders.

Come along to meet with others, to debrief, complain, re-connect, celebrate successes and generally share your experiences of life in the aged care sector during Covid-19.

Includes afternoon tea—coffees and teas, scones and/or savoury muffins. Please indicate if you need gluten free or vegan options. Opposite Chinatown; near the Bus Station and the Central Market Car Parks.

Country staff: please register your interest in a Zoom meeting at another date with events@cotasa.org.au.

Visit the Events Page to register for other in-person or zoom events planned for 3 August; 7 September; 5 October; 2 November; 7 December. Topics include Dementia and Making our services LGBTI friendly.
