Advance Care Directive Act Focus Group

How is the Advance Care Directive Act Working for You?

Completing an Advance Care Directive lets you tell people you trust how you want decisions made when/if you are unable to make them yourself. The operation of the Act which governs Advance Care Directives in South Australia, the Advance Care Directives Act 2013 (the Act) is being reviewed.

What you have to say about your experiences with Advance Care Directives and the Act can influence what sort of changes are made to the Act and its operation.

If you have:

  • Completed an Advance Care Directive
  • Assisted someone else to complete an Advance Care Directive
  • Tried to complete an Advance Care Directive
  • Been appointed as a Substitute Decision Maker for someone
  • Any other experience with Advance Care Directives

then please come along to this focus group hosted by COTA SA.

Professor Wendy Lacey, Head of the School of Law at UniSA is the independent consultant undertaking the review. Wendy is keen to hear the views of South Australians and will be part of the focus group.
