Aged Care Workforce Strategy Taskforce

The Turnbull Government recently announced an expert taskforce to develop a wide-ranging workforce strategy, focussed on supporting safe, quality aged care for Australians.

Through being involved in the Taskforce, there is an opportunity to help inform the development of the Aged Care Workforce Strategy.

The Taskforce is planning a range of well-structured engagement and consultation processes which will be integral to its work.

If you are interested in shaping the future of the aged care workforce, you can get involved! The Taskforce are currently looking for:

  • Workers in the industry (from across Residential Aged Care, Home Care and Commonwealth Home Support Program services); and
  • Consumers of aged care services.

There is a workshop scheduled for Wednesday 29 November 2017 in Adelaide.

If you are interested in attending, please respond directly to Robyn Rawlins (02) 6289 5011 or via email to ACWSTaskforce@health.gov.au by 20 November 2017.

There will be more opportunities to participate and inform The Taskforce in 2018.
