New Blog Post - Men's Health Week 2017
Why Men's Health Week?
Did you know that the health status and life expectancy of males in most countries, including Australia is, on average poorer than that of females?
But Men's Health Week isn't about the negative, it's about the positive. Men's Health Week is about talking about the issues - and the solutions - it's about raising awareness of preventable health problems and encouraging early detection and treatment of disease among men and boys.

New Encore Entrepreneur program
The Business SA Encore Entrepreneur program is a workshop and mentoring program which assists entrepreneurs aged 35+ to make their business dream a reality. This is achieved through attending monthly workshops on a range of topics relevant to running a business and with the support of monthly one on one mentoring sessions with a dedicated mentor.

Share your Ideas: South Australia's Collaborative Economy Challenge
Share has over $100,000 in prizes for ideas that respond to the question:

World Elder Abuse Awareness Day Conference 2017

This year's World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD) Conference program has been developed with the theme around the 'Challenges for Changemakers' in the legal system and the implications this has on service provision, the law and consumers.

Call for Participants: Wellbeing and Attitudes to Bowel Cancer
Would you like to find out about your wellbeing? Do you have 15 minutes to contribute to scientific research? Hugh Hunkin from the School of Psychology at the University of Adelaide is looking for volunteers to complete a brief survey about "Wellbeing and Attitudes to Bowel Cancer". You'll find out your personalised wellbeing score along with suggestions for ways to improve your wellbeing. The data collected are entirely anonymous and could contribute to improving public health.

palliAGED: New website for those providing palliative care
A new online resource called palliAGED was launched on Thrusday 25th May by the Minister of Ageing, Hon Ken Wyatt AM, MP. palliAGED provides trustworthy, evidence based information and resources to support all those involved in caring for older Australians approaching the end of their life. This includes nurses and care workers in residential aged care or community care, GPs and general practice nurses, allied health professionals and support staff. There is also relevant and trustworthy information and resources for older people and their families.

Held annually, this event is brought to you by one of COTA SA's member clubs, the Australian Plangon (Antique & Modern Doll Collectors) Club. Club members will be displaying items from their collections for all to see. There'll also be trading tables, a trash & treasure stall and a raffle with all proceeds from this year's event being donated to SIDSandKids SA.
